Good to know

Practical
information

Here we've gathered information that is good to know before your flight.

Cancellation and rebooking

As a customer, you have the right to cancel up to seven days before your scheduled departure.

If we have to cancel the flight due to incorrect information from your side – such as weight or other significant information for the flight (for example a disability) – no refund will be issued.

Arlanda Helicopter AB reserves the right to cancel up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure. If Arlanda Helicopter AB cancels, you as a customer are offered rebooking or a full refund.

If you are not at the agreed meeting point at the time stated in the confirmation, we may need to shorten or cancel your flight. In this type of event, no refund is issued.

All flights can be cancelled due to weather or technical maintenance on short notice. We notify you via SMS, phone or email no later than two hours before scheduled departure. In exceptional cases, the departure may be cancelled with shorter notice.

Weight

For the helicopter that carries up to 5 passengers, the maximum weight for passengers including baggage is 425 kg.

Weight per seat must not exceed 132 kg, and the front seat must not exceed 85 kg.

For sightseeing tours and short flights, 85 kg per person applies:

  • Group of 2 people: 170 kg
  • Group of 3 people: 255 kg
  • Group of 4 people: 340 kg
  • Group of 5 people: 425 kg

Each participant's personal items are included in the total weight. On-site weighing before the flight may be carried out to verify that the stated weight is correct.

We need to know each passenger's weight for safety reasons.

Weather

When flying we must take the current weather into account. In case of too strong winds, low cloud base or poor visibility, your flight will need to be cancelled. We do our best to find a new date for your flight. If we cannot find a new date, we issue a refund.

Read more under Cancellation and rebooking.

Departure location

We fly from different locations depending on the type of helicopter tour you have booked. Make sure to arrive at the correct meeting point at the specified time.

The meeting point and time are stated in your confirmation, sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. Don't forget to check your spam folder if you can't find the email in your inbox.

Safety

To guarantee your safety, everyone flying must be present at the safety briefing before the flight. The briefing is held just before we start the helicopter.

We also require everyone to follow the instructions given by the staff, so that everyone gets as safe a helicopter tour as possible.

Camera

Only one camera per person may be brought on the flight. Read more in the next section about Baggage.

Baggage

If you wish to bring bags or other luggage, we need that information at the time of booking.

Flight start time

When booking, we try to accommodate your wishes as best we can. The time stated at booking may be adjusted so that the day's schedule works in a flight-safe manner.

We require all passengers to be on site 20 minutes before the flight's start time.

Duration

Your flight time may be shortened or extended by a few minutes depending on other traffic in the air and instructions from air traffic control. This is beyond our control – we do not compensate for a tour that has been shortened, nor do we charge extra for a tour that has become longer.

Seating

Seat allocation is based on each individual's weight. We will of course try to accommodate your wishes, but flight safety comes first.
