Aerial work
Lifts, filming and surveying – when you need a flying tool
Services
At Arlanda Helicopter AB we carry out aerial work missions where the helicopter itself becomes a tool in the work process. Typical examples include lifting materials in the archipelago or in confined areas, surveying forests and wildlife, powerline inspections and firefighting. We also take on film and photo assignments. Aerial work requires a permit for specialised flight operations – which we hold at Arlanda Helicopter AB.

Aerial work
The helicopter offers a fast and effective solution for lifting objects into hard-to-reach places, from building materials in the archipelago to advanced lifts in cities. Compared to ground-based lifting equipment such as mobile cranes, the helicopter can often complete the job faster and at a lower cost, while minimising disruption for the client.
Helicopter lifts remove the need to build access roads or staging areas – cost-efficient and smooth for demanding lifts. We offer tailored solutions that exceed your expectations.

The fleet

01 · Helicopter
Reliable workhorse for film, photo and inspections
The Bell 206L LongRanger is a versatile platform for surveying, film/photo and technical missions such as powerline inspection. For photography, doors can be removed for an open view and maximum flexibility, and for filming the helicopter can be fitted with a nose-mounted, gyro-stabilised camera for high-resolution material and live broadcasts. The model can also be equipped with fixed floats for water operations – practical for water landings or as an added safety margin on missions with continuous exposure to water.
Key strengths: Safe and dependable with strong in-flight economy. We adapt the equipment to the task – from camera rigs to sensors – and can fit fixed floats for water landings.

Two engines for extra peace of mind
The Bell 206LT TwinRanger is the twin-engine version of the LongRanger. Two engines bring extra safety and access to areas where single-engine helicopters are not allowed. It is well suited for surveying, inspections and film/photo. Just like the LongRanger, it can carry a nose-mounted, gyro-stabilised camera for high-resolution footage and live broadcasts, and the sliding door makes hand-held camera work easy. We can also fit fixed floats for water landings – or as added safety on missions near water.
Key strengths: Two engines for safety, a stable platform for camera/sensor work and a flexible cabin for both passenger and aerial-work missions.

03 · Helicopter
A work machine built for lift and precision
The Eurocopter AS350 B3e (H125) is our ultimate work machine for demanding missions. With the Max View Kit the pilot gets optimal visibility when working with external loads, and the helicopter lifts up to 1,300 kg on the hook. For firefighting we can fit a 1,000 L Bambi Bucket. For filming we mount a gyro-stabilised camera rig for smooth, high-resolution footage, and the sliding door makes hand-held photography easy.
Key strengths: The ultimate machine for precision lifts, heavy lifts and aerial filming.
